We had a very busy weekend, but it was lots of fun.
Jaron had spring break, so he got to he home with us all day on Friday. We decided it was a good day to dye Easter eggs. I actually made a bigger mess than Kaden did! Oops!
These are most of the eggs. There's one more, but it's a bit disturbing (see next photo).
There's a story behind this egg, but Jaron would be the one to ask for more details. It has something to do with his uncles accidentally killing the Easter bunny one Easter morning. After coloring the egg, he realized it should have been a pitchfork and not an arrow. He still found it quite amusing. Maybe his siblings know the story, so this may be funny to someone else.....maybe....?
Saturday, Jaron's niece, Tia, was baptized. Kaden loves baptisms, and loves Tia, so it was great to have Kaden actually excited to be getting ready for church on a Saturday. We all got together for lunch afterward, then we did an Easter egg hunt with the family/friends. It was fun, but Kaden wasn't real thrilled at first. It took some convincing that's it's cool to go look for eggs that have candy in them, and that Uncle Glen isn't really going to take all the eggs.

Easter morning was pretty exciting, mostly because the anticipation of the Easter Bunny coming got Kaden to bed at a decent time on Saturday night. The bunny left a trail of eggs leading to Kaden's basket. It actually ended up being everyone's basket, but that's ok. Kaden was a bit surprised that the bunny left scraps of carrots. Kaden LOVES carrots and wouldn't even think to leave one bite behind! Kaden got a new Elmo kite. Hopefully we'll get some wind without rain so we can go fly it.
