Playground

A week and a half ago, this was a square of dirt. A week ago, it was a bunch of poles sticking out of the ground. Today, it's a playground.


This playground has been two years in the making (if you haven't noticed from my many posts about it). It finally happened last week with many volunteers donating time, money, and tools. It was built in six days, completely by volunteers. I helped with child care for several days during the week. Jaron helped build for a few hours on Saturday. We went to the grand opening on Saturday night, and Kaden got to be one of the first kids to play on it. It's an awesome playground, with ramps and no wood chips, so it's all handicap accessible. We'll be spending a lot of time here before winter comes.

The best part for us? It's less than a block from where we live.
