Balloon Release

Each year, in North Logan, Share Parents sponsors a Balloon Release as a memorial for families who have lost children through death, miscarriage, or still-birth. This is the first year we have known about it and decided it would be neat to go. They had a memorial walk lined with paper sunflowers that had childrens names on them. Each family could do one for each child.

Kaden and I with our sunflower:

They also had paper to write messages to the children to tie to the balloons. Kaden loved holding the balloons and just looking at how many there were.

After the memorial walk, they read each baby's name and the balloons were released as names were read. It was a very spiritual experience remembering the children we, and our family and friends, have lost. We know they are with our Heavenly Father and Jesus. They are in good hands.

We want to let all our family and friends who have lost children to know that we love you and you were in our thoughts and prayers that day, and will continue to be.

That's pretty cool! I'm glad you got to do that!
