Overheard - Kaden-ism

Kaden came home from daycare very distraught one day. It was December and they had a calendar to count down to Christmas. Once they got to the 20th, he was very upset. He told me he isn’t good at counting past 20. I told him I’d help him, so we practiced. He regularly skips 25 and 29. Every time. Frustrated, he said, “Mom, I just don’t like the calendar for Christmas because I have to count past 20!” Some day he’ll realize that every month has more than 20 days in it.
