Spring Break

We didn't do a ton for spring break, but one day we did play in Salt Lake. (Note: I haven't edited these pictures at all.  And the kids weren't up for a photo shoot, so they're not awesome).

We started at the Church History Museum with cousins.  They have a Book of Mormon children's exhibit that is hands on.

Carter enjoyed dressing up and dancing...

And it all went downhill when he discovered the girls clothes.  I think he can swing the skirt pretty well, though!

The little girls loved it, too.

 They helped abridge the plates.

And went fishing.

And made dinner for the missionaries.

We tried to lift the Gold Plates, but they're pretty heavy!

Kaden built a wall to hide behind.

Next we headed to Temple Square.  I can't say enough about how much I love this place.  Jaron doesn't enjoy just roaming around (something about going there every day probably makes it a little less novel for him), so I took advantage of it while we were waiting for him to be ready for lunch.

Jaron took us to the observation deck at the Church Office Building.  It's really high!

I had to take a pictures of these lovely parking jobs we saw up there.  I guess at least the parking lot isn't full.

I love the old houses downtown.  They're gorgeous!

We ended the day at Sugarhouse Park while waiting for Jaron to finish work.  We didn't stay long because the bathrooms were locked.  And you know how that goes...

We also stopped at Nielsen's Frozen Custard to kill a little more time.  Good memories.  Good custard!

That one day of spring break was enough for the whole week!

Easter

Easter started Saturday with the hunt at Barnes Park.

Easter Morning brought new church clothes for the kids.  It was a beautiful day!

That night, we dyed eggs with Grandma and Grandpa.

Bradley paid us a quick visit, but didn't get much out of it.

(On a side note, the kids picked some Candy Apple Egg Paint or something like that.  Don't try it.  It NEVER dries!)

Well....

...that whole picture-a-day thing didn't work out so well.  Maybe I'll just try and be better about posting.

We had lots of fun playing hopscotch until the rain washed it away.

The kids were so excited when we set up the trampoline.

They really wanted to try chopsticks when we had won tons.  It was quite entertaining to watch them!

And I managed to make my first potato explode in the oven.  I pricked it lots, and it still exploded!  The skin did taste yummy, though.  Nice and crispy!

Now that Emily has a tooth, I gave her a strawberry to gnaw on.  From her face, you'd think she didn't like it, but she just kept putting it in her mouth!  Maybe she didn't know how to let go of it.
